About Us

One of the leading art conservation studios in New York City, Luca Bonetti Corp., was established in 1983 by the late Luca Bonetti (1947-2023), a well-known paintings conservator who was born in Switzerland and trained in conservation in Switzerland and Italy before finally settling in New York City. The studio has a well-established history of handling old masters, modern and contemporary paintings, murals and sculptures. Working and partnering with private collectors, artists' studios, galleries, foundations, museums and auction houses in New York City, the US and overseas, LB Studio's staff of experienced conservators continues to uphold the high standards set by our founder. Luca Bonetti Corp. is a recognized member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC).

The Space

Located in the heart of Manhattan's Chelsea art district, Luca Bonetti Corp., occupies a space in the historic Chelsea Helmuth Building. To ensure comprehensive and accurate conservation and restoration treatments, the studio is furnished with the most up-to-date examination, diagnostic and treatment materials. Our studio features a reference library, diagnostic equipment, a vacuum hot table, administrative offices and designated storage space in addition to wide north-facing windows that let in plenty of natural light. We have a freight elevator that can accommodate oversize paintings. For larger works we offer onsite examination and treatment, as well as provide our own scaffolding.
